8th Grader Finishes High in Iowa Stock Market Game

Gavin Rounds, an 8th grader,  finished in 2nd place in the state of Iowa in the Iowa Stock Market Game Middle School Division.  Each student was given $100,000 in pretend money to invest.  Gavin was able to turn that 100K into $119, 132.76.  That is a return of 19.1 % in only 10 weeks.  Gavin beat the S&P 500 return by 11.1%.  His biggest gaining stocks were Netflix and Spotify. The students learned the basics of saving and investing.
